Tidewell is a GUI layer on top of the official Homebrew project. We do not bundle our own package index, inject ads, or modify formulas.
A note on Homebrew. Homebrew is a free, open-source Homebrew Package Manager maintained by the Homebrew project. Tidewell is tested against Homebrew 6 and Homebrew 6.0.0, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Homebrew.
There is no download button on this site, and that is deliberate. Mac utilities have a deservedly bad reputation for arriving bundled with something else, so we removed the possibility entirely: the only way onto your machine is a guided session with someone from our team.
It costs us sign-ups. It also means that if you ever find Tidewell offered as a download somewhere, it is not ours — and we would like to hear about it.
Runs on macOS 12 or later · Apple silicon & Intel. By requesting a session you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
No card, no automatic billing, and no follow-up sequence.
Fill in the demo request form with your name, email and Mac model. We reply within one business day with access instructions. No credit card or payment is required.

No. Homebrew is the open-source command-line package manager. Tidewell is an independent Mac app that provides a graphical interface for managing your Homebrew installation. All package operations go through the official brew CLI.
Yes. Tidewell is a universal binary that runs natively on both Apple silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs. It respects Homebrew's separate /opt/homebrew and /usr/local prefixes automatically.
The app switches to browse-only mode — you can still view packages and run brew doctor. To keep one-click install, batch updates and tap management, choose a licence on the pricing page or request a quote from our team.
Your installed package list and brew commands never leave your Mac. We collect your email and billing details when you purchase a licence, and anonymous crash reports only if you opt in. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions cancel from your account page in two clicks. Within 30 days of purchase you can request a full refund — see the Refund Policy.
